EARTHQUAKE AT BLENHEIM

BLENHEIM, This Day.

A sharp east-to-west earthquake, registering between four and five on the Rossi-Forel scale, was Celt at 1.31 p.m. The shock lasted only a second or so, but disturbed the chime of the clock on the war memorial tower. No damage occurred.

The shock was fell slightly also in Wellington.
