CAIRO MENACED

UNSTABLE SEAWALL

MINIATURE GEYSERS

(Received February 3, 12.30 p.m.)

MONTREAL, February 2.

The authorities at Cairo are now aghast at the possibilities of a 63----foot seawall being undermined.

Miniature geysers appeared in the streets and emergency squads dumped thousands of sandbags into the holes.

The city has been evacuated with the exception of able-bodied persons, 6000 of whom are working day and night to maintain the wall.
