KNIGHTS OF GARTER

SERVICE ON JUNE 14

(British Official Wireless.)

RUGBY, February 1.

The Garter Service at which Knights of the Order of the Garter join in corporate worship will be held on June 14, two days after the King and Queen make their State entry into Windsor as part of the Coronation celebrations. _ This ancient service was revived in 1911 after an interval of 106 years, and was last held in 1914. Arrangements for a service in 1935 were cancelled when, after the strain of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, ' King George V found it necessary to remain at Sandringham instead of going to Windsor Castle for Ascot week. The Garter Service will be followed by the Garter Banquet.
