FREEZING DISPUTE

CONFERENCE OPENED

The conference arising from the freezing workers' dispute opened this morning at Parliament Buildings, and is being continued this afternoon. The Government is • represented by the Minister of Labour (the Hon. H. T. Armstrong) arid the Minister of Agriculture (the Hon. .W. L. Martin). The employers and employees are represented on a Dominion basis. The two main points in the dispute are the payment of labourers in freezing works, and the number of men operating the chain system.
