AUTOMATIC SIGNAL LIGHTS

Sir,—May I be permitted a short reply to "Not Confused." This correspondent has missed the point of my letter. If it is natural for "Not Confused" to turn to the right with green light straight ahead then many hundreds of motorists in Wellington arc not so naturally inclined. However, I am not concerned with the respective merits or demerits of either method, but am essentially concerned with the official mind on the subject. It has been customary to make IJhei lightoiand turn .with, yccl light.straight!
ahead, and if ail official changc has been made then it should bo published. It. is evident that unless and until all motorists use one and only one method, then confusion must be the order of the day. Indeed, Mr. Editor, I think you might well inquire into the matter in the interest of public safety.—l am, etc., CONFUSED (STILL).
