LATE MR. W. COLE
CHARITABLE BEQUESTS
Under the will of the late Mr. Walter Cole, who died at Wellington-on December 12, the Public Trustee is appointed executor and trustee, and the will provides for the following charitable bequests:—
(a) £100 to the Benevolent Fund of the Waiwhetu Masonic Lodge, Lower Hutt. . .' -'
(b) £100 to the New Zealand In> stitute for the Blind, Auckland.
(c) £100 to St.. Peter's Mission, conducted by the Rev. Fielden Taylor.
(d) The residue of the estate to the Home for the Aged Needy, Wellington.
The benefit accruing to the home for the Aged Needy should ultimately be in the vicinity of £7000.
The late Mr. Cole, who was born in England, came to New Zealand about 35 years ago and engaged in busi- ! ness in Cuba Street on the site now occupied by Woolworths. He was particularly interested in the public af' fairs of the city and Lower. Hutt, where he resided. For a number of years he was a member of.the.Wellington Hospital Board, and at the time, of his death was a member of the-Lower Hutt Borough Council. He was also, a prominent member of the Masonic Lodge.
