ANGLO-FRENCH REQUEST
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received December 29, 1.50 p.m.) LONDON, December 28. Messages from the, Continent indicate that neither Signor Mussolini nor Herr Hitler is hastening to reply to the Franco-British communication regarding the sending of volunteers to Spain. The Government spokesman in Rome states that it is unlikely that a reply will be ready before the end of this week. While a draft of the Mediterranean understanding was ■ submitted to the British Foreign Office last week, it has not yet returned from London.
