LONDON, December 28.

It is reported from Gibraltar that passengers •an the Orontes state that while the vessel was passing Cartagena they saw many bodies floating in the sea.

It is reported that insurgent armed trawlers stopped the Bulgarian steamer Balkan and escorted her to Ceuta, where she was searched and allowed to proceed.

Eighteen rebel aeroplanes bombed Santander, killing 50 persons and injuring 60. Other aeroplanes were active on the northern fronts, bombing and machine-gunning Government post tions.
