CONFINED TO CABIN

WILL PROBABLY BE RETURNED TO N.Z.

(Received December 23, 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The woman who was prevented from landing from the Niagara will probably be returned to New Zealand on the Awatea on Friday. No-one has been allowed to see the woman, who is confined to her cabin and is in charge of a stewardess. • Another Auckland woman visited the Niagara at the weekend, intending to offer assistance, but she was advised not to interfere, and changed her mind. She claimed that on her arrival seven months ago she had not the requisite amount to land in Australia, but because she travelled second class she had not been questioned about her means. A prohibited immigrant travelled third class.
