NEW YORK, December 24.
Mr. Vie. Oliver, a well-known dancer, and Miss Sarah Churchill, daughter of Mr. "Winston Churchill, were married in the chapel of a marriage licence bureau. Mr. Oliver became a naturalised American citizen two days ago. The pair later sailed.in the; Aquitariia. ; The bride wore a 4J-carat diamond engagement ring and a plain platinum marriage band. She explained: "Father did not want me to marry unless I retained • British citizenship. As it is. I am still British and travel on a British passport." ■ ■ , ■
Mr. Oliver said he had received a cablegram of congratulations from the Churchills. "My wife will resume her stage career when she returns to America," he added.
