THEFT ALLEGED
Charged with the theft of two canaries, valued at £20, on December 19. Alfred Sidney Goodman, a waiter, aged 30, appeared before Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today. Detective-Sergeant E. C. Jarrold said that the arrest had been made by Detective W. Ritchie, and that several more serious charges were to be preferred. A remand until January 2 was granted.
