HALL, ALLEN STREE7 *•• (Opp. Paramount, Courtena.v Place), SUNDAY AT 7 p.m. .■ Subject: "WHAT CHRISTMAS MEANS" As Christmas means that Jesus Christ is an historical reality, it is of the utmost importance to know what the Scriptures reveal concerning Him. In demonstrating this evidence will be produced to show — (1) THAT Christ was born . a Saviour— "unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord" (Luke 2:14, Matt. 1:21)— The need of man, who by nature is I mortal and estranged from God, has therefore be_en provided for. (Roms. 5:12, 1 Cor. 15:22, Eph. 2:11-13, Gen. 2:17, Gen. 3:17-24.) (2) THAT as a Saviour Christ's preeminent mission at His first coming was'to show mankind how they could he saved —tin's Christ did by preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God for He as a Saviour made it perfectly clear that no member of the human nice could be saved apart from a belief of that Gospel. (John 14:6, John 10:9, Luke 4:43, Matt. 9:35, Mark 1:14, Luke 8:1, Acts 1:3, Mark 10:15, Mark 16:16.) ■(3). THAT the Gospel, (good news) of the Kingdom of God concerns Christ's second coming—the good news that Christ will personally return to earth to aseuine complete control of the world's affairs and as universal King govern all nations wisely and beneficently on Divine principles to the "blessing of nil families of the earth." (John 14:3, Acts 1:11, Acts 3:10-21. Matt. 23:39. ' Rev. 11:15, Rev. 19:15, Zech. 14:9, Acts 17:31, Psa. 72. Ten. 11, Isa. 9:6-7, Jer. 23:5. Gals. 3:S, Gen. 12:3.) (4) THAT in this way and in this way only will the words of the Heavenly Host at the birth of the Saviour be fulfilled-"GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST. AND ON EARTH PEACE, GOOD WILL TOWARDS MEN." (Luke 2:13-14.) Questions Invited. No Collection. If unable to attend write "Bible Truth."' c/o above hall, for free literature.
