The reception, at which about 100 guests attended, was held at the Mayfair Cabaret, the decorations being carried out in shades of pale pink and green. Mrs. Whitelaw, who received the guests, was dressed in a navy blue and white fascone crepe, frock and a navy -blue taffeta finger length coat. She wore a small, close-fitting navy blue hat. with a . veil., brim, and carried a bouquet of blush red roses. Mrs. H. Muir assisted Mrs. Whitelaw. She wore a beige lace ensemble trimmed with brown fur and a hat to tone, her bouquet being of autumn tinted roses.
When the bride and bridegroom left by car for a tour of the North Island the bride was wearing a brown and fawn tailored suit with . brown accessories. ■••-.•• .
