CAR OVER BANK
DRIVER SEVERELY HURT
OTHERS SLIGHTLY INJURED

CHRISTCHURCH, December 25.
One person was seriously injured and three others had a miraculous escape when the motor-car in which they were occupants ran off the road and rolled 200 yards down a bank on the Governor's Bay-Lyttelton road, near Rapaki, early this morning. The driver of the car, Mr. K. G. Broad, of 57 Andover Street, Merivale, was admitted to hospital with severe head injuries. Three other occupants of the car, Miss Davis (Invercargill), Miss Williamson, and Mr. R. Peoples, escaped with only slight injuries and shock.
