MINIMUM WAGE INCREASED

DETROIT, December 24.

" The strike' in the-Kelsey Wheel Company's plant has ended in an-agree-ment whereby the strikers will receive an increased minimum wage. This ■ n expected to end the Ford Motor Company's difficulties.

Mr; Henry Ford announced, in a cable message of December 19 from Detroit, that he was putting off 10,000 men because of .a shortage of brakedrums from the Kelsey Wheel Cony pany,' where a "sit-down" stn..3 haa entered its fourth day. The United Automobile Workers1 Union stated that the number put off was nearer' 20,000. Lack of parts had' also curtailed the activities of the Ford assembly plan- ' at Buffalo.. A check-up showed that 2200 workers were idle at the Buffalo plant because, of lack of material as a result of the Detroit strikes. ■
