Wellington. Training College^ had a flying start yesterday in their first mningf against Auckland Training College in the annual cricket match, which was played at Kelburn Park, a splendid century by Harding saving the side frcta what looked like failure. Only four other members of the side reached double figures. Turnbull was batting well, and Kirkby did not hesitate to hit out at the bowling, and G. Wilson scored 21 not out. Wellington's first innings total was 205. Bowling for Auckland, Flavell took five wickets for 39 runs, Smith one for. 35, Hamilton oiae f0r.55; Cowperthwaite one for 16,, and McDonald one for 24. ■■■■••■ .„., Auckland failed badly against Wilson's bowling, four of their wickets, falling to him at a light cost. At stumps six wickets were down for 61, runs.
