SYDNEY OFFICIAL RETIRES
(From "Vedette.") , ] SYDNEY, December 3. ' Captain H. L. Timperley, who for the past two years has been the racecourse supervisor for the A.J.C., sprang, a big surprise on the racing public by tendering his resignation this week. It is understood that this was the result of some friction with another officer of the club. The grievance was heard by the A.J.C. committee'last week. ' Captain Timperley has done a great j deal to clear up Sydney's courses, and! if his resignation is accepted it will be! regretted by the majority of the racing public, who like their entertainment in comfort.
