COMBATING DISEASE

fflrit(s!i Official Wlreless.J RUGBY, December 1. A Government grant of, £30,000 a year for the Institute of Chemotherapy was announced by Mr. Neville Cham-j berlain, Chancellor of the Exchequer, last night. The grant will be administered by the Medical Research Council. The new institute will be devoted.to building up and experimenting with synthetic drugs for combating disease.

Mr. Wybrants Olphert, of Wellington, has been admitted as barrister and solicitor by the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers), on the motion of Mr. R. E. Tripe.
