HAPPY "BREAK-UP"

WELLINGTON BRAILLE CLUB

There was a large gathering of members and friends of the Wellington Braille Club in the Red Cross rooms, Dixon Street, last evening, when the annual "break-up" was held. The club president, Mrs. Israel, gave a short address 'and a report of the work done by the club during the year. Mrs. Knox Gilmer, president of the Blind Social Club, also spoke. A delightful play was presented by the Thespians, and a piano duet by Miss Rui van Staveren and Mr. Kerry gave much pleasure. . Mr. Gray sang two solos, which were heartily applauded. Before supper was served, six members of the.Braille Club, Mrs. Nairn, Mrs. Empson, Miss Scott, Miss Gladys Wright, Miss McGowan, and Miss Morpeth, were presented with certificates.
