MR. BARTON'S TEAM BACK

(Special to the "Evening Post.") DUNEDIN, This Day. Mr. G. J. Barton's horses Desert Chief, Jack Homer, Gay Circle, Silver Bond,' Sir Ken. and Bobalink, an Aus-tralian-bred two-year-oW, were landed safely from Melbourne yesterday and were at once trucked out to Wingatui. The team landed healthy and well and will be treated to a holiday. - Mr. Barton stated that there was little or no chance of any of the team being sent north for the Auckland Cup Meeting. Some may be raced at the Dunedin Summer Meeting, but it depended on how they fared during the next few days as to what their future movements would be. It was, however, intended to ship them back to Australia some time early in the new year probably in time to get them ready'to race at the autumn meetings. Queen of Song also came back yesterday.
