! The directors of Austral New Zeal land Mining Co., Ltd., report to members as follows:—The total number of shares allotted by the company is 194 280 ordinary shares of £1 each, and 35,000 deferred shares of Is each. Of these shares, 5000 ordinary shares have been allotted as fully-paid up otherwise than in cash, and 189,280 ordinary shares and 35,000 deferred shares have been allotted subject to the full nominal amount thereof in cash. The shares allotted as fully-paid up have been allotted in terms of a contract dated September 15, 1936. made between Austral Malay Tin Limited of the one part and the company of the other part. The total amount of cash received by the company in respect of the said 189,280 ordinary shares of £1 each and the said 35.000 deferred shares of Is each is £68,784 10s sd, and the company has received no cash in respect of the 5000 shares allotted as fully paid up. Receipts for shares including exchange and interest amount to £71,439 3s lOd. Preliminary expenses amount to £703 3s 3d; purchase of mine property £37.375; dredge plant, professional fees, and other charges, £1940- deposit on contract for electric power, £4000: deposits at call in New Zealand £2050; cash in bank, in transit and in New Zealand, £25,020.
