Friday's closing prices for the following raw materials were as follows, those for November 20 being sho^vn in parentheses:— Cotton.— Liverpool quotation, good American middling, spot, 6.72 d a 1b (6 76d)' December delivery, 6.51 d a 1b'(6.52d). Rubber—Para, 12d a lb (Hid); plantation smoked ribbed sheet, 8 7-8 d a lb (8 11-16 d). ■ jute. November-December shipment Indian jute, Dundee quotation, £18 16s 3d a ton (same). ... Copra—December-January shipment, South Sea to London or Rotterdam, £18 15s a ton (£l7 17s 6d); smoked, to Marseilles or Genoa. £18 15s a ton (£l7 15s); plantation Rabaul. to London or Rotterdam, £19 15s a ton Linseed oil, £27 15s a ton (£27 10s). Turpentine, 41s 9d a cwt (39s 9d).
