MANAWATU SPRING SHOW
(Special to the "Evenino Post.") PALMERSTON N., This Day. "Once more I am able to record an increase in the takings as compared ~ with several years past," reported' Mr. T. A. Hastings, chief gate steward, in respect of the Spring Show of the - Manawatu A. and P. Association. The total amounted to £1356, compared with £1159 for 1935, £1055 for 1934, and £875 for 1933. Admissions by ticket totalled 11,589 compared with 10,345 the previous year, the big in--6 crease in membership accounting for I a good deal of the difference. Mr. Hastings put forward a number of recommendations for which he was •- thanked. The matters raised by him i. were referred to a special committee II for report.
