NATIONAL ART GALLERY
The loan exhibition of pictures from the National Art Gallery of New South Wales is continuing to attract crowds of visitors to the National Art Gallery, Buckle Street. This interesting collection of pictures, which has been generously lent by the trustees of the Sydney Art Gallery, contains many of the outstanding works from the national collection of New South Wales; not only works by Australia's foremost painters and draughtsmen, but also pictures by British and foreign artists which have been purchased by the New South Wales Gallery for the enrichment of its permanent collection. The loan exhibition of New Zealand retrospective art will be open for a few more days, after which the pictures will have to be returned to the galleries and private owners from whom they were borrowed. The Murray Fuller collection of British contemporary art is still on view, but for a short time only.'
For tho benefit of those who are unable to visit the gallery in the daytime, it will be kept open every Tuesday and Thursday evening for the rest, of this month.
