OVERCOME BY GAS
DANGER IN BATHROOM

NAPIKR, This Day.
Becoming alarmed at his son's long absence, a Napier man went to the bathroom to see if anything had happened. He found the door locked, and on bursting it in discovered his son, who is 20 years of age, on the floor unconscious. The young man later recovered and explained that he had felt faint in the bath and got out, only to fall down. He crawled to the door, where he lost consciousness.
An examination revealed a gas ?cak in the caliphont.
The Makura, which left Sydney yesterday for Wellington, has on board Wellington and South Island air mail dispatched on October 7.
The Tamahine is to leave Wellington at 9 o'clock tonight for Picton, and there will be no sailing tomorrow from here.
