NEWSPAPER'S CRITICISM OF BOOK
SYDNEY, October 22. Damages of £750 were awarded against the "Bulletin" and a journalistcritic, Brian Penton, in an action for libel brought by Percival Reginald Stephensen. publisher of the novel "Mezzomorto," which was severely criticised in the "Bulletin" by Penton. The author of "Mezzomorto," Clarence Crockett, was previously awarded £1000 damages against "the -sameMe£endants.
