PRICE FOR FISH
STILL NO AGREEMENT

AUCKLAND, October 22.
Expectations of a settlement of the fishing dispute were thwarted by the failure of the marketing interests To agree today on a fixed export price for fish, on which hinges payment of the seine-net fishermen's demand for 2d a 1b for snapper. The merchants will confer again tomorrow. Their deliberations were held in camera, being aimed at eliminating price-cutting among themselves in the Australian export trade. It is reported that one of their proposals was that one firm should handle all fish exported from Auckland.
