(By Telvgraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day. The first round of the match play in the women's amateur golf championship of New Zealand was playedthis morning at Balrnacewen, under ideal conditions. Six players were eliminated.
the Coronation Medal match was decided by stroke play over 18 holes. The championship results were:— Miss Rutherford (Christcburch) beat Miss Lane (Oamaru), 2 and 1,
. Miss White-Parsons (Christ'church) beat Mrs. Finlay (Auckland), by default.
Miss Petrie (Wellington) beat Mrs, McLean (St. Clair), 5 and 4.
Mrs. Jarvis (Wellington) beat Mrs. Gamble (Otago), 2 and 1, . .
Miss Bureau (Wanganui) beat Mrs. Speirs (Invercargill), 2 dnd 1.
