BILLS QUICKLY PASSED

The House of Representatives was in a good working mood, last evening, and passed three Government, Bills and two local Bills. The Workers' Compensation Amendment Bill was quickly put through its Committee stages, as was also the Post and Telegraph. Amendment. Bill, and both Bills were passed. The Geneva Convention Bill, which prohibits the improper use of the Red Cross emblem and the arms of the Swiss Convention, was also passed without delay.

The House resumed the debate on the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Amendment Bill till 10.30 p.m., when the adjournment was taken.
