SALISBURY CATHEDRAL

Workmen are engaged in repairs t<* the famous spire of Salisbury Cathe« dral, which by many is regarded a* the most beautiful in the world.

Examination has shown that th« spire shifted in a gale in 1930, and repairs'have also become necessary taf other parts of the fabric which have been suffering for some time from the effects of exposure to the weather.

An appeal has been launched to raise £10,000 for the necessary repairs.
