Two quarter-final matches in the Whitehead Cup were played at Tui Glen during the Weekend. E. OJConnell and H. Ferguson had a great tussle, O'Connell finally finishing 1 up at the twenty-third hole. In the other match A.'Judd.beat E. Lockett 5 and 3.
'. The following matches will be played next Sunday:—ln the morning W. H. Barton plays L. V. Pilcher, the winner playing A. Judd in the afternoon in the semi-final. The other semi-final will be:W. G. Riddell v. E. O'Connell. The final will be played on Sunday, November T. *
'The final of the championship over 36 holes will be played on closing day, November 8. ■
' Members are reminded that the annual dinner'and ball will be held on Saturday, November 7.
