R.S.A. CARD PARTY

KILBIRNIE EVENTS

The social committee of the Kilbirnie Auxiliary of the R.S.A. held a very successful card party last night when entertaining their friends and supporters. There was a large attendance and the games were keenly contested and thoroughly enjoyed. . ■ ~' A dainty supper* was provided and served by the members of the ladies' committee. The chairman of the committee, Mr. Donald Gunn, announced that the tickets for the raffle were now available for distribution by the ladies and he hoped that all who were interested would do their best to make the result the success that the prize warranted. The Roseneath Auxiliary would meet them shortly, when he hoped there would be a good muster arranged by the Tin Hat Club, to take place in the clubrooms in November, the entire proceeds to be devoted to provide additional comforts for disabled soldiers in hospitals. The prize-winners at cards were Mr. and Mrs. H. Jorgensen (for bridge), and Mrs. A. Lauchlan and Mr. T. E. Froud (for 500).

At the ladies' card afternoon the bridge prize was won by Mrs. Leathwick, and 500 prize by Mrs. McNally.
