Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Gowing, Palmerston North, are visiting Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Kirkby, Puriri Street, Lower Hutt.

Mr. and Mrs. A. Bonville Were, Melbourne, arrived in Wellington by the Rangitiki this morning, and are staying at the Midland Hotel.

Miss Jean Matheson,. Auckland, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. J. B. MacEwan, Fitzherbert Terrace.

Mrs. A. T. Webster, who has been staying with her sister, Miss B. Taylor, Wanganui, has returned to Wellington.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Coates, Lower Hutt, returned to Wellington by the "VVanganella this morning.

Miss Roma Drake, Cambridge, Waikato, arrived in- Wellington yesterday, and is staying at. "Kenilworth," Hill Street. •

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Page, who have been visiting friends at Wanganui, are now in Wellington, and, will leave for Christchurch on Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. J. ,H. Miles, Welling-, ton, were passengers by the Wangauella this morning.
