PALMERSTON North/This Day.

The Taxi ■ Committee of Inquiry commenced its sittings in Palmerston North today. At the outset, Mr. G. Brown, for the Labour Department, .in reply to the chairman, Mr. P. M. Butler, agreed there had been no difficulties regarding the taxi-cab business in thjs city. V There were instances of drivers being in attendance at- taxi stands for long hours, but the position was not as bad as in other cities.
