BROTHERS PLEAD NOT GUILTY

The trial of the Orsborne brothers in connection with the escapade of the trawler Girl Pat which ended at Georgetown, British Guiana, was commenced today at the Old Bailey. The brothers pleaded not guilty to the I charge of stealing the Girl Pat. < The prosecution alleged that Captain ] Orsborne in March was on the Gypsy ; Love, on which his brother George f stowed away. The engines broke down and the vessel was forced to return. Captain Orsborne was then given : the command of the Girl Pat, on to ] which his brother was smuggled. Near j Dover Captain Orsborne informed his companions that they would have to get rid of the engineer, Jefferson, as i he was not "in the know." They plied j him with drink at Dover and left him ashore. MANAGING DIRECTOR'S EVIDENCE. f John Moore, managing director of i the Marstrand Fishing Company, de- s nied that the company's fleet was doing badly, though all the vessels were mortgaged. He denied that he showed Captain Orsborne a bundle of policies v and that he said, "We are well in- * sured."
