GREYMOUTH EXPORTS LESS

Exports of coal and timber through the port of Greymouth showed considerable decreases ■in the four weeks ended October 10, compared with the corresponding period last year. During the period this year the timber shipped was 2,306;647 super feet, and the figure for the period last year was 3,531,305, a decrease of 1,222,658 super feet. At the same time the exports of coal decreased by 342 tons, the figures being 17,139 tons and 17,431. tons respectively.
