(By Telegraph.—Press Association;) WESTPORT, October 19. The Addison's Flat return for the fortnight ended October 15 is 13oz lOdwt for 34 shifts. , . DUNEDIN, October 19. Mining returns are reported.as'follows:—Waitahu ■ final wash-up, No. 9 paddock, a further 50oz from' twentyseven shifts of eight hours each, making a total return of 1470z 6dwt. Elevating operations alongside Redman's Creek produced a partial washup of 14oz 2dwt. WORKSOP. Worksop Extended Gold Dredging Co., Ltd., reports no wash-up at the dredge this week due to repairs having to be carried out. MOSSY CKEEK. Mossy Creek reports a return of 460z 3dwt for 123 hours and 8372 cubic yards handled. ARGO GOLD. Argo Gold Dredging Company, Limited, reports a return for the week ending October 17 as follows:—Yield, 61oz; hours dredged, 123; yardage treated, 12,000. ' NEMONA. Nemona dredge informs the New Zealand Stock Exchange of a, return of 240z 4dwt for 136 hours. The dredge reports that work has been considerably hampered by floods and repairs. The flat immediately below the construction dam proving only low values, the dredge has been turned and is now working again towards the creek. OKARITO. Okarito return as reported to the New' Zealand Stock Exchange Association is 12oz lldwt for 118 hours. MAORI GULLY. The return last week was 290z for 216 hours. The dredge treated a large quantity of silt during the period. The high tension cable was fractured as a result, of being silted up, but has been repaired, and the dredge is working satisfactorily. The opinion that the Maori Gully dredge was not getting out as much gold as it should was expressed by several speakers at a meeting of shareholders of the company at Greymouth on Saturday. - Mr. A. Broadfoot presided over an attendance of ten. The meeting was called by Messrs. W. Burns and T.- Costigan, two of the. venders of the company, to discuss the working of the dredge.. After a long discussion it was agreed that with such a small attendance present nothing could be done. . Mr. Burns claimed that the dredge was not cleaning the bottom of the creek, and that this was the causeof the poor results.
