FIRE-FIGHT AT BASE
NEW YORK, October 16.
Seventy military police and a flreboat took an hour to extinguish a fire in a two-storey building at the base of the Statue of Liberty at dawn today.
The statue was undamaged and the torch remained shining throughout..
