STAFF CHANGES
The following staff changes in the Public /Trust Office are announced:—
Mr: H. Williams, district solicitor at New Plymouth, has been appointed to the position of assistant solicitor, head office. Mr. Williams, who holds the degree of master of laws, joined the staff of the Government Life Insurance Department as a cadet in December, 1906. He was transferred to the head office, legal staff of the Public Trust Office in June, 1919, and has been stationed at the New Plymouth branch since September, 1924. t
Mr. H. B. Robb, of the legal staff of the head office, has been appointed to the position of district solicitor, New Plymouth, in succession to Mr. Williams. Mr. Robb, who is a baiTister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, was appointed to the legal staff of the Public Trust Office at Palmerston North, in December, 1927, and was transferred to the head office in November, 1928. Prior to joining the office Mi. Robb was in private practice as a barrister and solicitor in Taumarunui.
Estates of a value of £461.614 were reported and accepted for administration by the Public Trustee during September, compared with £447,827 in September, 1935. The total value of the estates under administration by the Public Trustee on March 31, 1936, was £60,660,310, and the new business for the six months ended September 30 was £2,910,296.
Grants of administration made by the Court in favour of the Public Trustee numbered .143 for the month.
During the month 379 new wills appointing the Public Trustee executor were deposited for safe custody by living testators and 323 existing wills were revised to provide for changes desired by testators. The total number of wills now held in the Public Trust Office is 87,157.
