NEW PLYMOUTH, October 18.
Leading professional and amateur golfers who will be engaged in the New Zealand championship at New Plymouth next week competed in an open tournament at the weekend. The winner of two medal rounds was H. P. Dale, Te Aroha, 71, 68^-139; then came A. J. Shaw, professional, Wellington, 70, 71—141; J. L. Black (Hutt), 73, 69—142; A. Murray (professional, Auckland), 75, 69—144; N. Bell (professional, North Shore), 69, 76—145.
