AUCKLAND'S BRIDGE
AN ANNOUNCEMENT SOON
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, October 18. "Before very long I hope to announce that w.e will be going on with the construction, of the Auckland Harbour bridge," said Mr. M. R. Hornibrook, managing director of the M. R. Hornibrook Proprietary; Limited, Brisbane, who has arrived from Australia. Mr. Hornibrook said he had come to New Zealand at the invitation of the Auckland Harbour Bridge Company, and would carry out further investigations into the project. Over a year ago the chief engineer to his company had visited New Zealand, and was followed at a later date by. his brother, Mr. F. J. Hornibrook. Beyond saying that his brother had reported very favourably on the scheme, Mr. Hornibrook said he could make no further announcement at present.
