The Dairy Board has been supplied by the Primary Products Marketing Association with information of British imports of butter and cheese for nine months ended September 30 last, as follows: — Total imports from all sources for the period:— 9 mos., 9 mos., 1936. 1935. £ £ Butter 372,394 374,629 Cheese 95,316 162,340 Butter from— New Zealand .. 102,856 98,782 Australia 67.960 83,365 Denmark . 81,827 84,998 Increased imports are shown as from the following other countries with last year's period in parentheses:-—Nether-lands, 29.061 tons (18,670); Lithuania, 3421 (6883); Argentina, 5334 (2758); other foreign, 12,520 (5335).
