The "Daily Herald's" City editor says that conditions on. the Stock Exchange yesterday, have not been equalled since the palmy days of 1929. Speculators and investors rushed to buy anything likely to rise, and there were some spectacular,.advances. Imperial Tobacco stock in three days appreciated by £14,000,000, Courtauld's by £5,000,000, and Imperial Chemical Industries by £5,250,000. . .
