(From "The Post's" Representative.) LONDON, September 16. On his return to Belfast the Primate of All Ireland declared he could find nothing but praise for New Zealand. "My heart was warmed by the. kindness of the people, and I was amazed at the great natural beauty of the country. There is no disputing the devoted loyalty of the people to Britain and their respect for our traditions," he remarked. , Mr. and.Mrs. H. ' .;, : ..':. ■■.„■- Referring to the appointment of a Director of Broadcasting the "New Zealand News" comments; "Professor, Shelley's new job has no'limits. The whole field of knowledge and entertainment comes within his purview. A man with mature experience, yet with a youthful outlook, a man of liberal ideas and one trained not only to think but to execute, the new director should build up for New Zealand a wonderful service, and the Government is to be congratulated on its sagacity in selecting him." Miss Nancy Gray (Wellington) has been touring in Germany during the past few weeks. At the end of September she will leave for New Zealand. Miss Gray has been sharing a flat in St. John's Wood with Miss Marjorie Myers. Dr. and Mrs. J. B, Condlifle have left for Australia, accompanied by their son and daughter, Peter and Margaret. Mr. John Condliffle is now on the stafl of the Imperial Economic Committee, and is at the same time continuing his studies. Dr. and Mrs. Condliffe will go on to New Zealand after a few weeks in Australia, and they have arranged to return to England, by the Queen Mary on March 2. On October 1 Miss V. A. Russell is going for a holiday tour to Kenya and New Zealand. She expects to be away from London for a year. A Gisborne High School Old Students' Association has been formed in London. In this connection Mr. R. Lowndes, of Macaulay Court, Clapham, would be glad to hear from all old students resident in any part of the Mother Country.
