REQUESTS TO NEW ZEALAND

APIA, October 6. A fono of faipules (meeting of chiefs') submitted two remits today. The first was that Malietoa and Tuimalealiifano be "fautua" (advisers), and that Mr. O. F. Nelson be "faatonu' (director or adviser) in,relations between the administration of the mandate and the Samoaris, these three together to attend and take' part in the fono of faipules. v The second remit was that all Chinese be sent away fsom Samoa.

The fono adjourned while these remits were forwarded by radio to the Prime Minister at Wellington. It is awaiting his reply.
