TABLE TENNIS SOCIAL

! The Onslow Table Tennis Club held a sojeial evening recently to celebrate a successful year. More than fifty members and friends were present. A report on the performances of the various teams was presented by the club captain, after which the president. Mr. E. E. Hicks, presented the club's trophies as follows: —Handicap events: Ladies' singles, Mrs. Russell; ladies' doubles, Misses P. Leighton and M. Gardner; men's singles, N. MeHugh; men's doubles, B. Smith and A. Barrett; mixed doubles, Mr. and Mrs. H. Russell. Championship events:—Ladies' singles, Miss M. Gardner; ladies' doubles, Mrs. Russell and Mrs. Bell; men's singles, G. Bell; men's doubles; H. Russell and J. Langdale; mixed doubles, Mr. and Mrs. G. Bell; club captain's trophy, Mr. N. MeHugh. The Dillicar Cup for the best team in the club was won by the C team, comprising: Messrs. E. E. Hicks, N. Sutton. J. H. Russell, and J. Langdale.

Competitions during the evening were won by Misses Walsh, Scott, and Coppick and Messrs. J. Russell and J. Langdale. Mr. Arnold Bradshaw was the pianist for the evening.
