TREATMENT ADVISED King Edward :on; September 9 paid his ■ second visit to the famous Viennese ear specialist, Professor Neumann, since his arrival in Vienna from his' month's yachting holiday, said the correspondent :of the • "Daily . Telegraph." . j.. He was in the-surgery for more than an hour,.and I learn that the specialist diagnosed catarrh of the ear, and has advised X-ray treatment. When he was in Vienna a year ago the King consulted Professor Neumann, and his first-visit was the subject of a communique by the British Legation. This reads: "As on his visit last year at the end of his summer holiday which consisted in a great deal of bathing, his Majesty the King ' visited Professor Neumann in Vienna .for examination to see that (there were no bad results from the.sea bathing which he has had this year. Professor Neumann said that his Majesty's ears were in the same excellent condition." - Before luncheon the King went to the Vienna Fair. Accompanied by the British Minister, Sir "Walter Selby, he drove from his hotel to the Pratery where the greater part of the fair is being held, and went direct to the British Indian Pavilion.. He was welcomed by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Draxler, Herr Heinel, president of the fair committee, and Baron Stetten, manager of the fair. At noon he drove to the Ballhaus- : platz, accompanied by the' British Mm- ; ister, and was received at the Chan- ] cellery by President Miklas, with j whom he remained in conversation for j over half an hour. The new Presiden- ■, tial Guard was turned out for the King j on his arrival and departure. j After luncheon he went to the British ' Embassy, where President Miklas returned his call of the morning. His Majesty later drove to the coun- " try club at Lainz, and started a round of golf. The fain came down so heav- ! ily, however, that he had to interrupt . his game.
