ED DON GEORGE

FIRST N.Z. BOUT WON

(By Telegraph-—Press Association.)

AUCKLAND. October 5.

Ed Don George, one of the world's greatest professional wrestlers, made his New Zealand debut tonight, when he defeated Joe Kopach Woods by two falls to one.

George gained the first fall in the third round with a body press following a light slam, the pair having previously exchanged forearm jolts. Woods evened in the fifth round in a similar manner, after having sent his opponent through the ropes with forearm jolts. George ended the contest in the sixth round- with a press after felling Woods with forearm jolts and slamming him heavily several times.
