MASTERTON ACQUISITION
Masterton., has, acquired a steady golfer in H. S. Budd, who is also a tremendous hitter. At the seventh at Masterton, which is of approximaely the length of the Miramar eighteenth, he hit a 320-yard drive and was on with the mashie, getting his 3. J. K. Smith, playing in the fourball Budd and Henderson v. H. A. Black and himself, drove 270 yards, and took a full wood to the green, where he also got his 3. Both were 5-foot putts.
