(By Telegraph.—Prea« Aiioclation.) . HASTINGS, This Day. A sentence of five weeks' imprisonment and a fine of £10 was imposed on John Franklin, who was also disqualified from holding a licence for three years by Mr. J. Miller, S.M., when he was charged with being intoxicated in charge of a car and with driving without a licence. The accused was fined £15 last week on similar charges and was warned by the. Magistrate that in future the Court would have to consider sending such offenders to gaol. Four hours later he was again arrested for the same offences.
